The Chronicles of Ellen

Burning Hailstone Girl
Well, my name's Ellen and I live in Australia, in the Southern Hemisphere.

This is my first real attempt at a journal of any kind; I've been meaning to start one for ages but every time I just can't think of what to write, or make some sort of spelling error that ruins the whole thing. Plus writing by hand is so tedious.

Anyway, my hope is that later on I (or maybe even my descendants) will be able to find this journal, whether on the World Wide Web or a CD, and remember/discover what my life has been like, both the ups and downs and my veiwpoints, etc.

Anyway, back to me. I am, at the beginning of this journal, in my fifteenth year in this life, in the Year 2005 A.C.E. I have a twin sister, innocent_grace, who you may know, and one other younger sister as well.

I have lived in Aust. all my life, and never yet been overseas (not to another continent at least). And to tell you the truth, I can't wait to start travelling- it's enough going to WOMAD in Oz or making your way through the food markets in Adelaide to get taste of what it would be like.

I am a Christian, as I have been since forever, and also a musician- I played piano for a few years before progressing onto percussion. Percussion (inc. drums, hand and tuned percussion) is a lot of fun and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone- there is a lot of variety in the music styles and instruments- there is always more to mess around with!

I am becoming increasingly interested in living for the world and not for myself- as in human and animal rights and green living and stuff. I think the earthship is a great concept...a house that's made mostly of rubbish, is basically self sustainable, and causes almost zero waste. Plus it looks like something from another planet. Pretty cool really.

Anyway, that's about it for the moment.

The stuff these people create is really incredible, so I fully encourage you to check them out! You won't be disappointed! ...
